This was taken in one of the hallways of what was once the harem of King Darius...for those that don't know, a harem is a place where the King would go to be with many women. Currently, there is a photo of Supreme Leader Khomenei at the entrance...Go figure!

This used to be the entrance to shiraz that cars would drive under, it is known as Shiraz Koran because inside the top of the third arch is a Koran. It is no longer used for cars to travel through, as it is now a national monument - Shiraz
